Earlier this summer, my parents rescued a chipmunk from one of my cats. However, when they saved her, they saw she wasn't doing so well. Her coat lost its glossiness, there were scars around her head, and it was very much clear that she was hungry.

So my parents gave her some nuts and some water, and... well, she's not afraid to come up and see them! She comes up to the back porch quite frequently, eating some (unsalted!) peanuts and cashews from out of their hands and even letting them pet her. She won't let us pick her up yet, but maybe she will someday.

I guess this is her way of saying, "Thank you for saving my life! I trust you hoomans!"

Such a cutie!! And way to go Mom and Dad!!
