Scion starter is always the hardest run, we might need to slow down a bit and farm for Transmution and Alteration.
Skill tree Act 1 would be: starting with mana nodes, Ash frost and storm, then Elemental Overload
At level 12, you can switch to arc/storm brand but you will face some boss killing problem. Try stick with stormblast mine, OOS, frost bomb.
Detail below:

2:29 Look for 2 wands with good 3 socket: G-B, B-B at least
2:41 we start with stormblast mine, Scion is very limited with increase spell dame early on, using mine probably the best to kill boss
26:35 use recipe on iron ring to to get topaz/saphire ring, for crafting wand recipe later
26:50 wand recipe, we need at least one spell dame (lighting/cold) from the wand recipe before Brutus, because again, scion dont have much spell increase at early game (currency: one transmute + 1 alteration + one resistance ring)
40:09 Doing Merveil, make sure you craft spell dame on wand, and wearing at least one cold res ring otherwise it would be frustrated. Orb of storm + stormblast mine is the best combo to kill boss.
