The ending of the game. There's an extra chapter called the Last Visit, but it's not particularly interesting.
Here's my take on the story, feel free to disagree or comment.
The creature in the basement was, without a doubt, Robin. His severe deformations were caused by thalidomide, a drug prescribed to pregnant women in late 1950's, early 60's against morning sickness. This is discovered in The Last Visit. But was there really a presence of evil in the house? I personally believe there was. Catherine was killed violently, without any weapons, as if a member of the Dhalmaar tribe committed the murder. The teddy bear is the proof that it actually was her own son who caused her untimely death. Its throat was also ripped out.
