Screw the scalpers: A review and demo of Saroo for Sega Saturn
Woot! Our friend Saroo, originally designed by TPUnix, has come to the show! In this video, I give an overview and my impressions of the Sega Saturn Saroo cartridge, not just an ODE but what I consider an excellent, plug and go hardware upgrade for the Saturn.
This video is split between a conversational opinion piece about the device, to a real hardware demonstration of several of Saroo's core benefits. Sonic 3D Blast, Sega Rally Championship, and Virtua Fighter demonstrate Saroo's faster load times, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter shows off the RAM expansion compatibility, and DoDonPachi is simply there to kick ass and make region encoding its bitch.
