[Sdorica] Adventurer's Workshop 23 - Bog Down (vs Angelia)
Event time: 2023.04.05 - 2023.05.17
When you can't play by their rules...just bruteforce it ._.
Seems like RayArk doesn't like having players cheating their AW with Burn.
Environmental Buff: Upon the start of battle, grant all enemies 40 stacks of Stony Shield.
Upon being hit by a character's damage skill, remove 1 stack of Stony Shield.
40 stacks of Stony Shield every wave is a pure torture for most players ._.
This asks us to use our strongest team or Whetstone to overcome 40k damage barrier.
0:00 - Team setup
Standard Miranda SB sweep team.
(You know the path is pure bs if I bring this team up.)
I think had Dylan level a bit too high on this run but doesn't matter that much.
Better use both advisors that increase skill ratio of black character instead of usual Rune advisor.
We need every bit of skill power possible here.
Choose [Set Out] rune advisor skill.
2:22 - Bog Down [Hard]
Use Whetstone and start pumping up those Sharpness stacks
Low exceed Miranda will take a bit to ramp her damage up beyond 40k
Once the Sharpness stacks is high enough, she'll start rolling over these mobs.
5:14 -Bog Down [Special]
With enough damage, we'll just run them over.
6:33 - Bog Down [Extreme]
3 waves of difficult mobs with 40 stacks of Stony Shield...
The first wave of mobs is a pair of Fractured Monsters that punish 1-orb skill users by attack randomly 3 times.
Our team will take a bit of damage here since this team like to spam their 1-orb skill rapidly.
The 2nd wave is a Shard Monster that punish 2-orbs skill users with huge AoE attack.
Again, since Miranda SB will always use her 2b at the start of battle, we'll take some damage here.
And...the final wave is annoying Rust 5 mobs group again.
- 2 Fractured Monsters that are permanently Stunned and Poisoned.
They'll attack multiple times if someone poke them out of Stun.
- 2 Dancing Puppet with huge AoE true damage.
But they'll use their buff removal sweep instead if there's any existing buff on player team.
- A Desert Aboriginal that start the battle with small AoE attack that applies their team permanent 3 stacks of Damage Reduction.
As if the 40 stacks of Stony Shield isn't enough...
Focus on both Fractured Monsters first since they can deal heavy damage.
Follow Desert Aboriginal.
We can leave the Puppets alone while trying to revive Dylan up since they won't attack as long as we have any buff up on our turn.
10:45 - Shy Sweetheart [Special]
RayArk gives players a taste of their own Burning medicine.
As if they doesn't want new players to beat this. ._.
First wave has Angelia with her father, William.
Angelia has Adaptability effect making Poison and Tear damage less effective against her.
She is unaffected by Burn damage. (the first time we have this status effect.)
She will cast a skill that apply permanent 1 stack of Burn to all player characters upon her turn!
Additionally, she'll replenish her Armor to full every turn!
William has Antibody and Invincibility.
He'll attack random (?) character on his turn.
If there's no allies by his side, he'll die on the next incoming damage skill.
He's unaffected by Burn damage as well.
Luckily, they don't have that much HP so we can still roll them over.
But here come the 2nd wave...
In the 2nd wave, Angelia now has both William and Theodore to join her in battle.
William is just a little annoyance like the previous battle.
Angelia still retain all of her passive from the previous battle.
But she also has permanent 3 stacks Armor Shift now!
Theodore has all the same passive as Angelia!
And upon his turn, he'll target 1 random player character and apply permanent 3 stacks of Frostbite on them!
He'll also command William to attack on his turn.
Note that their Armor replenish effect happens after the Armor Shift effect.
This mean if we can't make their Armor reach 0 every couple turns, they'll keep healing themselves to full due to their Armor Shift effect!
Both Angelia and Theodore has a bit above 200k Armor.
Still within fully buffed Miranda SB reach.
The strategy with this team is simple; bruteforce our way through with sheer power of Miranda SB.
Focus on Angelia first (because we want Theodore to trigger William's attack which'll help us trigger more Miranda SB attack.)
Make sure to keep their Armor to 0 every couple turns to prevent them from healing.
Heal up the Burn damage with 4w and use 1w to clear Frostbite effect from time to time.
