[Sdorica] Adventurer's Workshop 24 - Overprotective (vs Ace)
Event Time: 2023.05.17 - 2023.06.28
Ace has returned to AW and I'll still use my old team like the last time I beat him.
And they also use the old Environmental Buff from the old AW again too?
Environmental Buff: When an ally is granted Armor or Healed, Vitality +2.
Upon the end of player's turn, for every buff the allies have, Vitality -1.
Old Environmental Buff from AW15.
This tries to prevent us from using a team that relies on many buffs or Vitality will be drained quickly.
(Unless you clear the whole AW really fast.)
Normally, the thing we should do is to leave all the items that grant buffs at home.
0:00 - Team setup
Same Delay-Burn team with previous video.
I still bring some items to help with survivability.
This makes each Nolva sweep with her equipment drain a lot of Vitality however.
Choose [Stagnant] rune advisor again as a safety net in case we can't gather 4w in time.
2:39 - Overprotective [Hard]
Sweep
5:10 - Overprotective [Special]
Sweep Sweep Sweep
Fractured Monsters in the 2nd wave can help restore our Vitality each time they attack so we can make use of those.
7:30 - Overprotective [Extreme]
Sweep Sweep Sweep...
Until the last wave.
The last wave is a Bandit Brigand with his Mongrels.
They have so much HP that Nolva sweep will only drain Vitality away.
Use Delay-Burn to kill them while using Angelia advisor to restore Vitality instead.
10:17 - Cutting Edge [Special]
The first wave Ace come with 2 of his house bodyguards.
Ace himself has 10 stacks of Sharpness and will use his 2b attack on his turn which deal moderate damage.
His soldiers however, have 15 stacks of Sharpness and Retaliate.
They're more problematic than Ace himself here but shouldn't pose a problem for high level characters.
The 2nd wave Ace is pretty difficult if you don't know what you're doing or can't burst him down within a few turns.
This Ace start with 15 stacks of Sharpness and permanent War Cry.
He'll strike first every time someone cast an orbs skill.
And his skill power increase the more defensive buff his target has.
His normal attack is also absurdly strong 4b.
There are quite a few ways to tackle this.
But for this team, we'll carefully put Burn stacks on Ace without killing ourselves.
Start by using some 1g to apply some Burn stacks on Ace until Nigel is low on HP.
Then keep on spamming Puggi 1w a few times.
Since Ace will always strike first, he'll send a Burn stack back to his target.
And the one who move will send that Burn stack back at him.
Once both Nigel and Puggi are low on HP, use Nolva with her equipment to heal them up a bit before continue.
Use [Stagnant] to delay Ace from using his strong 4b.
