Step 1. You go the shipwreck bay and go to the captains quarter of the shipwreck. There lies the start of the tall tale (you will notice a book on the table activate that to start)
Step 2. After starting the tale go out and look around for 3 green ghost ships. Once you spot them get on your ship and sail to them, they are usually located to the east.
Step 3. You will notice as you get closer they move further away, that is natural keep following the ships until you find a broken one you will notice that you will be near shark tooth key
Step 4: locate the broken ship then drop anchor near it.. jump down and open your item wheel until you find the ferrymens lantern, use the lantern to expose the rest of the ship.
Step 5: find the captain that's falling down. And you will notice just below them is a skull, retrieve that skull then you will get a prompt to return it to pendragon. It’s important to note you will find him on shark tooth key and NOT shipwreck bay.
(This will unlock a commendation)
After completing this you will notice part of the story will play now, standby pendragon to listen to the tale, after the tale is over you will have more pages added to your book
Step 6: you will notice there is an island on those pages (this will usually be located in the devils roar) so head east in search of the island. You will be looking for another ghost ship so you won’t need to go on any island just yet, since it is the devils roar it would be a good time to grab a rowboat incase a volcano gives you the big oof take note if you are confused on what island to go to, it will mention it in one of the pages.. although it’s often on fetchers rest for me
Step 7: once you find the ship you will notice another ghost ship will spawn, do the same as the previous steps.. look for the next ship and keep going towards it remember that they can be far away so if you’re in a crew having someone on the crows nest keeping and eye out wouldn’t go astray!
Step 8: you will eventually find the ship parked up by an island.. now you will need to park up the ship and locate some footprints on the island, once you have found them you’ll be ready for the next step.. remember to bring food just incase because skeletons still have a chance of spawning also ignore them sunken ship
Step 9: find the ghost rowboat and follow the footsteps until you find the skeleton who killed the man, along this journey more of the story will reveal itself. Once you find man who was murdered you will need to dig, this will reveal me another skull and pendragon will spawn behind you
Once speaking to him more pages will unlock and you will need to follow some more ghost boats, use your map and book to locate the island
Step 10: follow the ghost ships until you eventually end up on flintlock peninsular, as far as I’m aware all journeys will end at flintlock.. for this step using the crows nest will be a perfect aid don’t get disheartened if you don’t find the ship right away.. it will be there just sail around until you find it!
Step 11: once following the trail you will find a ghost ship parked at flintlock peninsula.. park the ship up and be ready to finish up the tale. You will need food a sword for the next steps!
Step 12: again use your ferryman lantern and follow the footsteps until you reach a cave.. you will find a coffin being carried just before the footsteps start.. inside the cave there will be a door that pendragon will open.. be ready for a fight
Step 13: head inside walk up to the coffin and take the skull, exit the tomb and take it out.. when you exit you will notice a captain will spawn, he will be accompanied by some skeletons.. clear them and kill the captain
Step 14: pick the skull back up then head out until you find pendragon, give him the skull to complete the tall tale
