Seal And The City: The Disappearance of Sammy The Seal | Netflix
Every morning the fishmongers at Billingsgate Market bang two pans together. On cue, a large seal - Sammy - emerges from the Thames and receives a bountiful free breakfast. He’s been doing this for 20 years. But now, he’s missing. Directed by Jakob Lancaster and produced by Sorcha Bacon.

Sammy has been living from the goods of the market for over two decades, but now gentrification is leading the council to sell it, for a multimillion-pound redevelopment.
A film crew set out to meet Sammy before the market closes, but soon find a mystery that propels them down the River Thames at night. Meeting marine police, mudlarkers and other people of the river.
Produced as part of the Netflix Documentary Talent Fund.
