Played with a wireless Xbox 360 controller, which according to one positive steam review is not a good idea. "Gamepad racing feels terrible" There's an option called Braking Help, which is supposed to stop the wheels locking up(like ABS), but the wheels always seem to lock up* Also you can't seem to counter-steer fast enough going at speed, so you have to drive slow everywhere(bad for a racing game)
*Maybe it's because I push the left trigger all the way in, and pushing it partly/gently wouldn't lock the wheels up, but why have an option of Braking Help if it doesn't work?
Also if I go into control options, and move it onto joypad 2 from joypad 1, I have to move it back to joypad 1 with the keyboard, since apparently as soon as you move it to joypad 2, it ONLY accepts input from joypad 2, and not joypad 1, even though you don't have to press Enter/A to confirm it.
