Yeah I know, got a bit of a Street Fighter Kick right now. None the less, heres SSF2 on Genesis. I was going to play with one of my regulars but decided to go with one of the new challengers, Cammy.

Here's a story I heard second hand. So, the guy who owned the local arcade bought 2 SSF2 arcade units around November of 1993. These were like two grand a piece. Apparently, he wanted to get it sooner but the demand was too high and had to wait to get one.

Regardless, he finally got them in and was happy that kids were dropping major coinage into these machines. Typcally, arcades would pay for themselves after a couple of months, depending on how well you do business.

However, this investment would take longer to payoff, because around 3 or 4 months later, the home ports were announced. He wasn't very happy about that. Also Super Turbo was rumored around the same time.... so yeah. The SNES and Genesis versions kinda cut into his profits a little.

There's rumors that he ranted at the Capcom rep he dealt with, but from what I understood the coin-op division were separate from the home-console division. Still this is all second hand info. So please take this with a grain of salt.

On a side note, I think my Avermedia is dying. Some of my recordings are playing at slow motion. Thus why eveything is sluggish in this video. Apologies to all who find this annoying.
