Sega, More Pull Out of E3 - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:
Sega and Tencent have announced they're NOT going to E3 2023, adding to the growing list of major gaming companies that are abandoning the storied trade show. Earlier this week, Ubisoft announced the same thing, reversing their previous stance of "if there's an E3, we'll be there." So far, that makes ZERO major publishers or developers having any sort of presence at the Electronics Entertainment Expo—could this be the end for one of gaming's biggest conventions? In Nintendo news, the company showed off some impressive new gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, along with a look at a new Switch model (sorry, not a brand-new Switch successor). Microsoft is another step closer to acquiring Activision Blizzard, as Japan has seemingly approved of the deal. And MultiVersus announces it's taking a year off, and WON'T be refunding players who bought digital items during the game's open beta period. Don't worry, though; your items will carry over to the full version whenever that launches.
