SEGA Nomad - Screen Repair - Part 1 - Fixing Faulty Consoles - Ebay Bargain
Back with another faulty ebay bargain to repair :) . This time I document my attempt at repairing and refurbishing a faulty SEGA Nomad. In part 1 I inspect and test the console.
The total price I paid for the console including postage was £36. It needs a new LCD screen and outer screen cover which I have already ordered. I'll detail those items in future updates but the cost of parts shouldn't be more than around £26. Nomads were never sold in the UK so are pretty rare in this part of the world. A fully working, good condition unit can sell anywhere from between £100-£200. I plan to keep this one for my collection though.
I'll be using thomas3120's tutorial for replacing my Nomad screen.
