Sega Rally 2 Dreamcast Real Hardware
7Sega Rally 2 for the Sega Dreamcast. This was a launch title on Dreamcast, and one of the ones I got on day one. It got good reviews back in the day, with some mention of the less than arcade perfect graphics but a general consensus that it was still an impressive title and a good port. These days, the consensus online is very hard on this game, but I still think its a great game and a decent port. For a day 1 launch title, the graphics are fine and still very close to the arcade original. The framerate isn't nearly as bad as some would make out either. You still get a solid gameplay experience, with masses of extra content added for the DC version. You get a 10 year championship, with completion of each year unlocking another car. You can view a presentation on each car, with said car driving around the tracks in the in game engine while commentary tells the history of the vehicle. Next to Sonic Adventure and Virtua Fighter 3, this game eat up most of my time in the early days of the Dreamcast, and I loved having this amazing home port of what was, at the time, a stunning arcade game.
