Here's the arcade version of Sega Rally 3 running on the Sega Europa R arcade board working on PC.

This is intended to work with the latest version of Teknoparrot arcade loader, which at present is only available to the Teknoparrot Patreon backers (the public release normally happens some time after). However, using the game's EXE file you can get it to boot, allowing you to view the attract mode, which is what I've done here. However, doing it this way the controls won't work and there is no sound. I've added in two of the music tracks from the Sega Saturn version of Sega Rally here to replace the blank audio. Edit : I found out after I started uploading this that the sound does work, it's just that the attract mode volume is turned to 0 by default.

Initially this game wasn't working on Windows 7, but a clever guy called argonlefou, modified the game EXE to fix that. Big ups to YouTube user Stranno for the heads up about that!

Sega Rally Online Arcade, which came out on the PS3 and Xbox 360, is a pretty much a straight port of the arcade version of SR3, The big difference, and something I've mentioned before numerous times in some of my other SROA videos, is that the arcade version ran at 60fps compared to the home console ports that only ran at 30fps. Why, with only 5 tracks, they could not have made the console versions 60 fps I do not know ... It was always one of my big bug bears with SROA despite the fact I did get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Sega racing games are meant to be 60 fps, dammit! I also don't know why they decided to change the name of the home version to Sega Rally Online Arcade from Sega Rally 3, a strange move by Sega that I suspect may have negatively impacted on the game's sales.
