Okay, so I've narrowed down the issue with Vegas. Basically the QT7 plugin doesn't like older games that don't run progressive scan on their own, but the compound plugin is fine with them. So my workable solution to edit this one was simply to revert back to the compound plugin, but this creates other issues such as the roundabout way of getting the videos to import, and of course the green screen issue, which I'm grateful it wasn't in effect this particular recording, but there's no guarantees for the future.

So... if QT7 won't always work, and the compoundplug won't always work... does anyone know what will?!
