I haven't played this game in years, and it shows.
Sega TouringCar championship is one of the most overlooked Saturn racing games. The arcade version looked fine, but the Saturn version's graphics are grainy and low resolution, the textures and polygons stretch and warp badly, the framerate is perpetually inconsistent, the handling physics are so twitchy you almost literally can't finish a race without at least the 3D Control Pad or the Racing Wheel... but beneath all the initial observations lies a very technical and challenging racing game.
Once you learn how to play it properly, it's very rewarding and keeps you coming back to whittle your times down as much as possible.

Back when it came out, you could upload your course times to an online leaderboard with the Net Link modem and see how you ranked against other people. They also held special events/races for certain occasions.
