A quick thanks to superpacman73 & Bobby Jack for pointing out that you can use automotive instrument panel dash light bulb sockets as a replacement to the original bulb sockets. Mike Martin also pointed out that you can find these in old slot machines too.

The cockpit version requires 9 bulb sockets. 8 are behind the monitor bezel and 1 is for the vacuum gauge on the control panel.

The original bulb sockets are about 35 years old at this point and are brittle from age and being exposed to the heat. Almost all of mine broke when the bulbs were removed.
