This demonstrates an easy strategy for dealing with phase 1 Guardian Ape. It also leaves you with at least 1 spirit emblem for phase 2 (depending on your max Emblems) to use the spear.

Requirements:
- 5 Attack Power (shown in video)
- Firecrackers
- Mortal Draw
- Midair Combat Arts
- Ako Sugar
- Divine Confetti

The general steps done are:
- Midair Mortal Draw (2 slashes).
- 6 Slashes (will start running part way through)
- Firecrackers to stop running.
- 5 Slashes
- Midair Mortal Draw
- Melee until finished.

Without Ako or Divine confetti, you won't do enough damage to finish him before he runs away. You'll have at least some point where you'll have to chase him
