If you thought the O2/Videopac news was getting awfully quiet, think again – Philips is back on the scene, releasing new compilations of classic Videopac games through Steam.

There are some cool things about this, and some not-ready-for-prime-time things about it, and this podcast discovers some of both in real time.

The really interesting thing is what this may portend for future homebrew projects in the O2/Videopac realm.

Select Game ( http://www.thelogbook.com/selectgame/ ) is the only podcast on the entire internet with sync-sound action! Select Game traces the story of the Magnavox Odyssey2 video game console (and its European siblings, the Videopac and Jopac), a game at a time. Check out the previous audio-only episodes on iTunes or Stitcher.

And, of course, the site that started it all, combining sci-fi, retro video games, book, music and toy reviews, and all sorts of retro-futurist fun: https://www.thelogbook.com and its sister site https://www.thelogbook.media

All of theLogBook.com's podcasts are available on iTunes and Stitcher.
