Sennheiser, known for its audio products, has announced a new line of wireless headphones called Accentum. The company says that the new Sennheiser Accentum wireless headphones have a lot in common with the flagship Momentum 4 model.
In terms of design, the new headphones are similar to the Momentum 4, but since they are cheaper, the company has taken some measures to cut costs. The headband is made of hard plastic, and touch gestures for controlling music playback and calls have been replaced by four buttons at the bottom of the left cup.
The Accentum features 37mm dynamic drivers, which the company claims provide excellent bass reproduction and impressive clarity of sound. There's also a hybrid frequency response system that uses microphones both inside and outside the earcups to suppress sound. There's also a wind reduction mode to keep calls clear in windy weather.
The headphones are equipped with Bluetooth 5.2 with support for multipoint connection. This means the headphones can be switched from one connected device to another without having to re-pair, making it easy to share between devices. There is also support for the aptX HD codec for better sound quality and stability, as well as support for SBC and AAC codecs.
As for the price, the Sennheiser Accentum wireless headphones cost $179.99 (Amazon) and will be available at select retailers and on the company's own website. The company will start accepting pre-orders from September 26 for the headphones, which are available in two color options – black and white. The black model will go on sale from October 4, and the white model will start arriving in November.
