Here is the final video of the new game playthrough. We have to exorcise the other Daoist in the building to get the better Daomu and access to the entire place. From there, we exorcise the Triad to get the key to the elevator. Lastly, we confront the final boss in a straightforward fight, but the consequences of which are not completely known until you do NG++.

Now, there is a costume you can get in the final boss room depending on the order you examine things. I do not get it here, but it is up in a separate video along with the other difficult (missable) costumes in the game. Hit that up if you're having trouble.

If you want the final boss room solution just for simplicity: examine the casings on the far left, the lion on the far right, the mahjong table on the right middle, the raffle spinner in the middle, and the wedding gift on the left middle. If you examine any of these out of order, you must re-load or start over to get the costume. Enjoy.
