Sentinels of the Multiverse (TTS) - (Advanced) Pulse Preview
Continuing with the preview of the Cauldron, we go up against an annoying villain in an interesting environment. The gimmick behind Pulse is that she is invulnerable for most of the game, and you basically build up to take her down. Since the two guys I was with wanted her on advanced, I couldn't nuke her hard, and the game ended up lasting a lot longer. Cards kept popping up to protect her, and we had to cut through them one by one.
I am playing Baccarat here, who plays cards from his trash assuming you have a pair. To make things better, I did start with two copies of Afterlife Euchre, which are his best cards. Due to this, I had a pretty consistent source of damage that I could amplify when my other cards.
The other two guys are playing normal characters you are probably familiar with.
As for the environment, sadly, we could only travel near the end, but you may be able to see the lure of it. Some of the effects are really nice, and I would like to play here again, and possibly even a longer game.
Overall, the call to put her on advanced, was one of the dumbest things that could be done here, especially since they wanted it after the game started. ALL of the heroes rely on multiple instances of damage to optimize their DPS, and by doing this, they drew out the game a lot longer than needed. While this is annoying, there are some other games I have that I might upload that are even worse...
