SEPARATE MUSIC and GAME using Application Audio Capture in OBS Studio - macOS Guide
Finally our macOS user friends get Application audio Capture in OBS Studio. You just have to wait for version 30.
Since the release of OBS Studio version 28 a feature called "Application Audio Capture" is available for Windows users to separate audio between applications and give their own source in the mixer and filters. Also you can split your music from your game to exclude it from your Twitch VODs in the end.
macOS users had to wait a little longer to gain access to this feature but OBS Studio 30 beta one has this included according to the release notes.
But why would we do that? It enabled you for example to split music and extract it from your VOD and therefore separate Game Audio, Discord, Music in OBS directly. It also allows you to set limiters and filters to each of your audio inputs without using virtual mixers like the one from Elgato, Voicemeeter, Rode and so on.
Hope you enjoy and this helps you.
