This video plays the Powerman 5000 song "When World Collide" and the FFXIV "Sephirot Phase 2 Battle Theme" at the same time. Powerman 5000 is your left ear and Sephirot is your right. Headphones are recommended.

I have sped the play speed of Sephirot Battle theme up by 4 BPM (from 140 to 144) to match the tempo of the Powerman 5000 song - this did not affect the pitch of the song in any way.

At 1:22 the Sephirot theme has a key modulation earlier than the Powerman 5000 song, therefore it drops out of the mix until 1:36 when the Powerman 5000 song makes THE SAME MODULATION. During the period it is missing, the Sephirot theme is repeating the same thing you hear when it returns.

Also of note, at 1:36 when the Sephirot theme returns, I re-aligned the beats. The Powerman 5000 song has a few moments when it slows down for a moment that are not in Sephirot song, so it was ahead by a fraction of a beat by this point and it was very distracting and detracted from the video. All I did here was adjust the position by a fraction of a second.

I should clarify, I LOVE FFXIV and have loads of respect for Soken, Yoshi-P, and the entire creative and dev teams, and am grateful to everyone involved in the game. I also happened to know and like the song "When Worlds Collide." As an audio engineer, I was surprised at the similarity, and decided to make this in light of all the people talking about it.

This was not made with any hard feelings to anybody involved. It was made as a kind of a "Huh, wow, look at that!"
