In 2016, Judge K. Frink was appointed to fill a judicial vacancy in the Seventeenth
Judicial Circuit serving Broward County, Florida. Judge Frink is currently assigned to the
Unified Family Court Division presiding over Dissolution of Marriage, Child Custody and
Support, Name Changes, Adoptions, Paternity Suits, and Modification proceedings.
Judge Frink obtained his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 1997 and his
law degree from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in 2000. He was admitted
to the Florida Bar in 2000 and he is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, the
U.S. Southern District of Florida, the U.S. Middle District of Florida and the United States
Supreme Court.
Prior to his appointment, Judge Frink was a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office of Kelley
Kronenberg, P.A., where he practiced in the areas of product liability, construction defect,
negligent security, wrongful death, premises liability and insurance subrogation.
Prior to practicing civil litigation, Judge Frink gained trial experience in criminal law by
working as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County, FL in 2003. He also served as
Assistant Regional Counsel for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel,
Fourth District where he was the supervisor of the homicide division.
Judge Frink has been an active member of the Section of Litigation starting as a Young
Lawyer Leadership Program participant in 2006. Since that time, Judge Frink has served
the Section as a member of the Roundtables Committee, co-chair of the Young Lawyer
Leadership Program, Young Lawyers Division Liaison to the Section of Litigation, and
Governing Council Member to name a few of his many prior positions. Judge Frink is
excited to serve as co-chair of the Family Law Committee and continue its great work within
the Section
