Serious Sunday: Video Game Convergence: The Shifting technology/gameplay gap of PC, Console & Mobile
This week on Serious Sunday, Luke takes a look at the shrinking technology and gameplay gap between the major gaming platforms of PC, Console and Mobile. He looks at how in the past few years, mobile games, though still struggling from a user interface perspective, are gaining ground on their static machine counterparts, and the way that the free to play mobile experience has overtaken the PC and console space in sales by a healthy margin. He looks at the trends of mobile games toward a more midcore experience, and muses that as more and more technological hurdles are forded with Mobile, we're seeing game devices start to converge in a center ground.

Serious Sunday is a freeform, sometimes roundtable discussion between the members of Level 0 NPCs, where a specific topic is pre-selected by the group to be explored and discussed at length. Each of the NPCs approach the topic from both the perspective of a seasoned, die-hard gamer, and as creators of games themselves. Part freeform review, part critical analysis, part video game book club, Serious Sunday is where the NPCs take a step back and take a moment to give a serious look at something that is important to the industry, or games in general.
