Seshat is the Egyptian Goddess of writing and measurement and the ruler of books. Her name literally means "woman scribe" and she is regularly depicted as a woman wearing a leopard skin covering her robes with a headdress of a seven-pointed star bent by a crescent moon in the shape of a bow.
