Setting Up Joystick Controls in MAME || MAME Arcade Tutorials
16Hello fellow Dazzlers and New Players alike! Today we're doin' a tutorial on setting up Joystick Controls for MAME -- that is, games that use an 8-directional digital joystick and one or more buttons. Think your garden variety arcade game, I suppose.
I DID have a video put up on this topic about 5 years ago...but the production quality on it kinda sucked, so now I'm giving this another shot, as well as going over some stuff that wasn't covered in the last video.
A side note: This tutorial also assumes you're using MAME DIRECTLY on your PC, so not using via a Raspberry Pi, front end, via steam deck, etc. I don't have experience using MAME through those -- but hey! Maybe one of the audience members might!
Also I have ZERO idea what happened to the audio of Final Fight, it didn't get recorded for some reason. oops!
