To put it bluntly, I freaking LOVE Jade Empire. An excellent RPG developed by Bioware around 2005 with the aim to stand out from their previous title Knights of the Old Republic, while keeping to the same style.
Instead of the fast round based combat system they had for KOTOR, they went with a sort of arcade-real time martial art system where you use various styles and weapons on the fly, complete with combinations to fit your style; despite some bugs, it works out pretty well.
This, coupled with an interesting game world and a complex morality system, adds to a pretty solid experience.
I have a lot of love for Jade Empire and it's been high time I play through it once again. I hope you join me and the Shirtless Man as we uncover what has happened to the dead of the Jade Empire!
[Playthrough Details]
In this playthrough, I am going for an Open Palm run. We are aiming to do as much as we can: quests, dialogue, exploration, followers, romance, as much as possible! I'm playing it how I would have played it a long time ago.
Eventually we'll come back to do a Closed Fist run in the distant future!
[Technical Details]
Jade Empire, sadly, is one of those games that needs a bit of help to get working, especially for the Steam version. Thankfully there are a fair few guides out there to help you get the game working on modern systems.

The "Extra Tweaks" section really helped smooth out most of the stutters.
My NVIDIA settings for this are:
Anisotropic Filtering: 16x
Anti-aliasing – Transparency: 4x (Supersample)
Max Frame Rate: 60 FPS
VSync: On
[Mod Details]
The main mod I used for this was "Dialogue Overhaul (With High Resolution Fonts)" which removes the black border during dialogue. This was a personal preference as I never liked it, plus for some reason I was dropping frames when talking to NPCs. If you have this issue, this might fix it for you.
