I have been having a lot of fun with SF6 so far. I was somewhat worried that I wouldn't get used to how slow everything feels, but I have since gotten used to it. Ryu is so much fun to use now; he has some interesting combo setups, and his crouching medium kick has a decent range now. He is still considered a boring character and always has been, but he is fair and honest, and he hits hard. That's Ryu in a nutshell.

The rank placement system in this game is way off and very generous. I've seen new players get put in platinum or diamond with zero experience with fighting games. Even some pro players are put into gold rank.

There is still a bit of controversy between classic controls and modern controls, and while I am still in favour of modern controls for bringing in new players, there has been a debate about whether or not they are going to be exploited. Pro players have started to use modern controls, and that can easily give them an advantage. No longer do you need to buffer a motion for a move; who needs to be a charge character anymore when modern controls help you with that with just a single press of a button? I'm curious to see how far a player can take modern controls to the point they become broken and Capcom has no choice but to revise the Capcom Pro Tour rules.
