SFV has been out on console for 6-7 years now. Even though we have the new SFV Definitive Edition patch we still run into the same type of players .

The FGC will never grow as long as there are players that hold it back with there bad personality. Nothing wrong with being competitive, but for some players it becomes borderline toxic. It eventually ruins the fun for a lot of potential new players in the end. Sometimes getting smoked is the experience players need to become humble.
