The action of the title takes us to the Far East, where we will visit snow-covered mountains, grassy undergrounds and Japanese-style gardens. The story follows Lo Wang, a martial arts master who is hired by Zilla Enterprises to find a legendary blade called the Nobitsura Kage. The hero discovers the connection of a mystical weapon with ancient gods from another world, and the reality is taken over by demons from hell. Wang's goal is to send them back into the dark abyss and uncover the truth behind the invasion of otherworldly beings. In this task, he is helped by Hoji, an exiled soul from the mysterious land of the Ancients.
In terms of gameplay, the game resembles the original, so we spend most of our time killing hordes of enemies. The title is an old arcade-style FPP shooter with equally great emphasis on fighting with melee weapons. Therefore, Lo Wang uses both guns of various calibers and equipment characteristic of ninja warriors: a deadly katana or shurikens. The creators also used proven solutions in minor gameplay elements - the healing system is based on first-aid kits, and the hero has not been limited in any way by the limit of the weapon carried.
An important aspect is the character development system. There are three types of resources in the game that allow you to customize your hero. The first is cash, the second is ki crystals, and the third is karma points. Money allows you to modify Lo Wang's weapons and buy more ammunition. Ki crystals and karma points allow you to develop Lo Wang's skills and ki powers (e.g. health regeneration, extraordinary mobility, stunning opponents) and it is this element that allows you to personalize the gameplay experience to the greatest extent.
