Shantae (GBC) - Gameplay

5Many people enjoy Shantae, but not me. Sure the music Is nice and the visuals for GBC are great with the animations, and the paralax scrolling. But the gameplay Is weak with a lot of dead air and long distance backtracking to unlock fast travel. It has me wondering if people really liked it, or out of pity for it's troubled release?
At least it's doesn't have backer exclusive content (Forms, costumes, etc) of It's sequels released years later for around the price of a new release.
