We're checking out a prototype survival style game called Raft, where you are out at sea and must survive not by running around and scavenging items, but by trying to catch them as they float by so that you can build up and expand your raft which is constantly under attack by sharks. It's a very interesting take on normal survival games, instead of building a base and you yourself being mobile to get items, THE BASE IS MOBILE and you have to latch onto items with a grappling hook. The game is just a prototype, so there are some limitations, but it's oddly fulfilling building up the seafaring base. The game has a bit of a Stranded Deep feel and a Rust style of building approach.
Survive the harsh life of being stuck on a raft in the middle of the ocean! Gather debris from the water in order to craft equipment necessary for your survival. Expand your raft in order to create a more comfortable living for yourself, but be wary of the dangers of the ocean!
