8Darkest Dungeon takes place in a fantasy world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The campaign takes place primarily in the ruins of an old manor house. This place was taken over by the forces of darkness due to the recklessness of the last lord of these lands. During our adventures, we uncover the past of his entire family and the truth about the abomination they brought to this world.
Combat in Darkest Dungeon is turn-based. Choosing the right formations is crucial, and every move must be carefully considered, as whoever dies remains dead.
Visits to a nearby town help maintain the heroes' mental well-being, giving them opportunities to relieve their emotions, for example, by drinking alcohol or praying. We invest our accumulated wealth in restoring the town to its former glory, which in turn opens up new opportunities.
