8Sheltered has released a new update allowing for higher difficulty settings. In these two videos we take a look at the Hardcore difficulty.
I'm not ready for primetime, the game isn't ready for primetime, or both. The "difficulty" of the game currently depends on your ability to exploit weaknesses in the game mechanics to survive. This is not the sort of challenge I'm looking for. It is not the kind of gameplay I find enjoyable. While water has become scarcer than ever with the advanced difficulty, starting resource remain exactly the same--a big criticism I had with the original version. We'll return to Sheltered after a little more balancing.
