Mission
War Eagles will conduct a movement to contact north of the City of Dilshad to identify and clear the route of hostiles and obstacles NLT 29OCT23 in order to ensure conditions are met to attack the City from a direction least expected by the enemy.
Task to Subordinate Units
Widowmaker Platoon:
- Conduct an attack to clear ton Objectives Beatle, Ant, and Centipede to defeat C/2-64 in the AO.
- Clear the roadway of any obstacles (including C-wire) in the area to ensure an unimpeded passage for the assault on Dislahad. This will be done by marking minefields and eliminating enemy ambushes.
- Identify a patrol base location no larger than 75 by 75 meters in order to be staged and prepared for the assault of Dilshad. The Patrol base must be north of the 137 northing and east of the 090 easting.
Griffins Platoon:
- Conduct a route reconnaissance of the only route through the mountains to identify enemy battle positions and obstacles.
- Be prepared to conduct a raid of the enemy Artillery platoon staged in the north if they reposition in our AO. It is suspected to be in the vicinity of the town of Etsane.
- Conduct an area reconnaissance of the mountain terrain in the area north of the road in the mountain pass to ensure enemy forces are not hiding themselves for future disruption operations against Coalition forces.
3CAB:
- Provide CCA (Close Combat Aviation) for Widowmakers and Griffins as they conduct offensive operations through the AO.
- Be prepared to transport 5 crates of fortification equipment and any replacement vehicles necessary to the newly identified Patrol Base location for Widowmaker Platoon.
- Identify 3-28 Mech BN positions along PL Gin to determine the depth and disposition of the enemy’s defense.
