We now begin an episodic playthrough of Shining In The Darkness on the Sony PlayStation 4. This game borrows elements from the very first Phantasy Star game where you traverse through dungeons in first person. This game has up to three party members that you can use however, there are NPCs that are in need of rescue as doing that can affect the story at a positive pace.
This is the start of SEGA's beloved Shining Series!
The story of this game is set after Shining Wisdom (A game that is set after Shining Force II) and before Shining The Holy Ark (A game set before Shining Force III). In the kingdom of Thornwood, Hiro the son of Mortred is summoned by King Drake as he is tasked to find Princess Jessa and his father all while pursuing the princess' kidnapper: Darksol II. But Hiro can't do it alone as he has help by the priest named Milo and the mage named Pyra. This is where the story of Shining In The Darkness begins...
