Shining in the Darkness, the first Shining game released back in 1991 on Sega Genesis..

It's reminiscent of some AD&D games for Nintendo and Super Nintendo and also like Mazes of Fate on Gameboy Advance.

Even though it's a first person dungeon crawler it has heavy RPG influences such as buying new weapons, gaining experience and gold. As you progress each new floor of the Labyrinth becomes more confusing and complex, while the random encounters become incrediby often and difficult. I can honestly say I've never beaten this game....yet:D
