Don't stand in the water when fighting the Blind Swordsman; his senses allow him to seek your presence, staying in the water will let him send wave after wave of slashes toward you.

Wait for two waves to be summoned by Yatsurao (bosses from here on out will start to do that), attack after the 6th eye beam, after the first set appears.
