A play of "Denaris", the edited version of "Katakis", developed by Manfred Trenz & Andreas Escher, and published by Rainbow Arts in 1988/9. All gameplay footage was captured right off my trusty PAL C64C, with games loaded via a 1541 Ultimate II interface.

Jump to 02:56 if you want to skip the background story (including why it was edited) and get right into the gameplay.

"It's Behind You" (the story of the Spectrum conversion of R-Type) is available as a free download from: http://bizzley.com

Information on the first R-Type conversion of the C64 is up at GTW64: http://www.gamesthatwerent.com/gtw64/rtype-v1/

More retro gameplays (along with other bits & pieces) can be found on my playlists page: https://www.youtube.com/user/hellfire64/playlists

Finally, if you enjoyed this video, do leave a thumbs up, and as always, subscribe for more gameplay goodness!
