A sort history of the system monitoring tool Nmon created by Nigel Griffiths when working for IBM with Power based AIX systems. Since then he has released the source code and it has been ported to Linux as well as many more architectures.
This system monitoring tool is useful because it is light and gives you a visual idea on your system resources on your machine(s).
