This definitely captures the feeling of a 1v1 competitive card game, and that might end up being a real problem for me. It's an unmistakable and profoundly unpleasant sensation. Duels with Apollo in CrossCode felt the same way, as has anything I've ever played against an actual human opponent. I don't tend to play any form of competitive multiplayer games because of this. I might have to make this a no-Joustus run and see how far King Knight can get as a card player without ever actually playing any cards, and then just walk away from his campaign if I run into a hard boundary where I can't go any farther without engaging with the card game. Are the rest of you able to experience competitive play without getting this icky horrible feeling, or have you learned some way of suppressing it? At least I know when I'm winning against a computer that I'm not inflicting this on another human, but that doesn't help when the computer inflicts it upon me.
