Show of the Week: Injustice 2 and 5 Weaksauce Heroes Who Think They Can Step to Superman
7,546Superhero fighting game Injustice 2 is out this week, continuing the story of Injustice: Gods Among Us, in which Superman killed everyone in Metropolis after being drugged by the Joker. Naturally, he's a bit peeved, which makes it all the more baffling that a bunch of no-power scrubs are trying to take him on, as we discover later in the Show. The problem is, Superman is basically just a combined list of other individual superheroes’ best powers, neatly contained in a skintight blue onesie.
Sure, Deadshot is an expert marksman, but he’s still firing regular bullets, while Superman’s heat vision lets him shoot lasers out of his actual eyes.
Likewise, Captain Cold’s freeze ray seems cool, until you remember that Superman can do the exact same thing with his mouth, without having to wear a dumb parka all the time.
Maybe just leave it to Batman, guys. I think he’s got this covered.
