Built in Melbourne, Australia by Tom Grubb and based on a hybrid design that includes 2 x MP11 Germanium transistors, the Sieger Audio MP11 Overdriver falls somewhere between old-school overdrive, Big Muff and fuzz. However, where the latter two rarely offer much in the low-gain department, the MP11 excels with its sweet crunch; wind it up and you're in slightly sagged medium-high gain nirvana. The Shape and Low Cut facilities are welcome additions and there's enough Level on tap to drive an already saturated amp into solo-soaring skies. the MP11 Overdriver looks great, is easy to use, sounds fantastic and has an inner attention to build quality usually reserved for larger and more established brands. I cannot fault the MP11 and would recommend it as a worthy and different addition to any dirt arsenal.
