The 2001 survival horror game Silent Hill 2 was created by Team Silent, a group based in Tokyo's Konami Computer Entertainment, and released by Konami. The PlayStation 2 version of the game was initially released between September and November. After receiving a letter from his deceased wife, James Sunderland, a widower, travels to the town of Silent Hill in Silent Hill 2, the second episode in the Silent Hill series. In December of the same year, an expanded version was released on Xbox that included Born from a Wish, an extra scenario, and other features. All of the Xbox port's added content was included in the Greatest Hits edition, which was re-released for the PlayStation 2 in 2002 after being transferred to Windows. A remastered version in high definition
