Didn't expect the run to the end to be so quick! Okay, honestly, a few disappointing moments here - the fight against 2 Pyramid Heads were surprisingly short and easy. James' line delivery calling out to Maria seemed to lack emotion, I didn't care for the line changes before the battle and most of all, Mary's reading of the letter at the end I didn't find nearly as good as the original (which were the best line delivery in the original). In a vacuum without comparing it to the original, it's hard to say how I'd feel, but I guess I'd probably think they're still good. Also got the In Water ending, which was disappointing and since I maybe only spent 1/4 of the game being careful to use my health, it makes me wonder if it's just a time limit of being in the red.

That being said, I thought this was a fantastic remake - I still favor the original, but not by a big margin and if I was asked by people which I would recommend they'd play, I would absolutely recommend the remake! I'm big in story and for horror, ambience - honestly, the difference in line deliveries makes a huge difference to me. Outside of James and Laura, I think literally everyone else needed just a bit more pause between some of their lines.
