Polish game developer Bloober Team has given an update on the development status of the highly anticipated survival horror game, Silent Hill 2 remake. While no official release date has been announced, CEO Piotr Babieno stated in an interview that the game is "technically ready" and that the development is "close" to completion. However, the decision to announce a release date and handle the promotion of the game rests with the publisher Konami and its advertising partners. The success of the remake, as well as other upcoming Silent Hill games, could be vital to Konami's revitalization of its big properties. Fans are eagerly waiting for more information on the release date, and there are hopes that it could be announced during this summer's PlayStation event or later this year.
