CS:GO BREAKS RECORDS AND TAKES OVER STEAM CHARTS WITH COUNTER-STRIKE 2 REVEAL!
CS:GO sets new concurrent player record after Counter-Strike 2 reveal
As Valve's Counter-Strike 2 announcement continues to make waves, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) has broken its previous record for concurrent players over a decade after its release. This has propelled the free-to-play shooter to the number two position on Steam's all-time concurrent players list, overtaking Lost Ark, which had held the spot since its release in February 2022. CSGO's record peak player count was 1,507,212, surpassing Lost Ark's 1,324,761 but falling behind PUBG's 3,236,000. Counter-Strike 2 is set to be a free replacement for the classic game, featuring enhanced visuals, upgraded maps, and more responsive servers, and is slated for release in the summer.
