Silent Hill f is the upcoming eighth mainline installment in the Silent Hill series, developed by NeoBards Entertainment and published by Konami. It's set in 1960s Japan, shifting from the series' traditional setting to offer a new cultural backdrop. The game features a story by Ryukishi07 and music by Akira Yamaoka, blending beauty and fear with a focus on psychological horror.

Ebisugaoka is a fictional fishing town in rural Japan, based on the very much not fictional town of Kanayama. The developers even visited Kanayama for visual references to use in the development of Silent Hill F.

The game takes place in the fictional town of Ebisugaoka in 1960s Japan, replacing the familiar industrial American setting with a rural Japanese landscape.

Ebisugaoka is complete with all the charm you could expect from an old Japanese fishing town. Small wooden buildings, narrow streets, and muddy farmland presumably on the outskirts. All that charm disappears once that ominous Silent Hill fog, complemented by, what seems to be, a lot of rain, rolls into town.

Silent Hill f follows Hinako Shimizu, a high school student, as her town descends into a nightmarish state, filled with fog and grotesque creatures.

Silent Hill f is scheduled for release on September 25, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games, and Microsoft Windows.
